The Story
“We find potential and strength in the dark and hidden.”
Josefin’s musical path started long before the first gig. As a young traveller she moved between countries and scenes, and along the way she found the dancefloors where trance and psychedelic music are at home. Those nights shaped how she listens, and later how she plays.
That path led first to Earth M, where she began her career as a DJ. It took her to festivals like Magic Mountain and to Southeast Asia, where she threw her own parties. Earth M sets open in tribal and world-influenced downtempo and build into driving forest psy.
In July 2020 she stepped behind the decks at Technotunneln in Gothenburg with a new project. Kepa is her psychedelic techno side: deep, hypnotic and built to pull you into the groove. It quickly became one of the most distinctive psytech sounds in the city’s scene. Since that first night she has taken Kepa to underground parties, Burn events and festivals in Sweden and abroad, along with guest mixes for podcasts and radio. More recently she has started producing, and Kepa is where she is building her own music from the ground up.
In 2022 she brought Earth M back at Sweden’s Forest Star Festival, and she has returned every year since, now with both projects. Whether it’s psychedelic techno as Kepa or forest psy as Earth M, the aim is the same: to take people into a state of trance-induced flow, where the mind quiets and the body follows the music.
We are pleased to host and support both of her projects on Psychedelic Gnosis Records.
